“It is my hope that all families will feel the empowerment and confidence that can come along with parenthood.”
After investing 10 years in working for families around the Louisville area as a Nanny, Kate realized that supporting children and families would become a lifelong passion. This set the tone for her to begin her training as a doula. Kate is certified as a doula through DONA International and as a Childbirth Educator through Lamaze. She continues her education at every opportunity and her extensive knowledge includes providing support for families during the devastation of infant loss.
Kate graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelors in Justice Administration in 2006 and went on to complete Masters coursework at Georgetown College in Special Education.
Kate’s hope is that all families feel the empowerment and confidence that can come with parenthood. She is thrilled to play a role helping them attain it! When not supporting clients or immersed in birth work, you can find her enjoying life with her family in Shelbyville. Together, they explore nature by camping and hiking.
Kate loves to stretch her creative side by attempting a Pinterest project but her real love is a big bowl of ice cream in front of HGTV!
